The X-arm is a motorized robotic wall mount for flat panel HDTVs that allows a viewer to adjust the viewing angle of the TV with the convenience of one click on a remote control. When people build a home cinema they forget just how essential the mount is to their viewing experience. Unless your room is pitch black, chances are you have glare that can reduce the quality of the picture. You might also need to adjust your screen depending on where you are sitting at any given time. The X-Arm is the only mount that allows you to constantly have the best picture possible regardless of glare or viewing angle. If you have ever tried to adjust a traditional mount you realize how tedious and difficult a process that can be. CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK You probably spent a lot of money and did considerable research choosing your new flat screen, why would you choose to house your new HDTV in an inferior mount? We firmly believe that this is the best mount money can buy, bar none. The X-Arm will mount all TV's from 40 to 63 inches and support displays up to 180 lbs. Some displays might require an adapter. The X-Arm is a ruggedly constructed quality mount built to last that will give you many years of enjoyment. HDTV's have a "sweet spot" which is the perfect angle to see the best picture possible. This angle can change due to glare from the sun or indoor lighting, as well as where you are sitting in the room at any given time. Due to the inconvenience of manually adjusting a TV which requires two people to fine tune, most people tend to just leave the TV in one set position and forget about it which means they do not enjoy the benefits of a true high definition viewing experience. Glare and bad viewing angles can substantially diminish the picture quality on your your display. The X-Arm allows you to easily find that "sweet spot" no matter where you are sitting and regardless of glare from lighting with the ease of a click on the remote.
When the X-arm mount is in a retracted position (which happens automatically when you turn off the power on your TV), the TV is only 4.6 inches from the wall so that all you notice is the TV. The magic, however, happens when the remote control is used to activate X-arm mount which smoothly extends the TV away from the wall, then can swivel the TV from side to side from 20º to 28º depending on screen size (total swivel movement maximum 56º), and/or tilt the TV up 7º and down 20º (total maximum tilt movement 27º).
The X-arm mount can be controlled through two methods: IR universal remote control (Included in box); or RS-232 port, integrated with Lifeware, AMX, Crestron, Control4, and pretty much any universal remote or home automation system very easily. A true automated mounting system.
Motorized mount extends, tilts, and swivels to eliminate glare and reflections by remote control providing the best on-axis viewing experience.

There are a number of obvious and some not so obvious benefits to using X-arm mount:
Glare on the TV screen from sunlight can be deflected by simply swiveling, and/or tilting the TV to a different direction.
Depending on whether the viewer is sitting on the floor or sitting aside from the TV, the viewing angle of the TV can be adjusted so that it is normal to the viewer to provide clearest picture as possible.
A flat panel TV can be mounted in a remote location without the worry of having to manually adjust the viewing angle of the TV.
A TV can be viewed extended 12 inches from the wall so that the TV looks bigger. For instance, a 50 inch TV that is 12 inches closer to a viewer will actually look more like a 55 inch TV.
With manual wall mounting units, a viewer has to hold onto the TV to adjust its viewing angle. With X-arm mount, however, there is never a need to grab on to the TV to adjust the viewing angle.
X-Arm is designed to handle heavier and bigger size TVs between 40" and 63" weighing up to 180 pounds. What is unique about X-arm is that it can retract the TV so that it is only 4.6" from the wall and extend the TV about 12" from the wall. Once extended, X-Arm can swivel a 42" TV left and right 28° each way (total of 56°), and tilt the TV up 7° and down 20° (total of 27°).
Motorized Mount Extends, Tilts, & Swivels Use the included IR remote control or an RS232 interface to extend the Robotic Mount from your wall and tilt the screen up or down to your specifications. You can also swivel the screen left and right up to 56°. Four preset buttons on the remote let you set up your favorite viewing positions for one-button access. Additional features include an LED display on the control box for TV size and status.
The X-Arm Robotic Mount sets up just like a manual wall mount. You'll appreciate the hidden cable management system, which allows for a clean appearance, and the control box is even removable for easy maintenance. The bellows protects the mechanism from dust & dirt, and keeps inquisitive fingers away from the works.
Flexible Control Options The X-Arm Mount comes with its own universal remote, easily programmed to control your TV, DVD player, VCR, and cable box, by entering the code for each device. If you already have alearning remote, you can teach it the commands to control the mount. Or you can send commands to the mount using your home control software via the RS232 port.
Complete With Everything You Need No wasted trips to the hardware store to buy screws that were so conveniently left out. Fear not - this mount comes with all hardware needed to complete the project. Not only are the screws included that hold the mount to the wood studs in the wall, but you also get a wide variety of screws to fit the various brands of flat-screen TVs out there. Note: you will need additional materials to mount in masonry or metal stud walls. Finally, it needs to be mounted on a vertical wall surface - no ceilings.
Easy Installation Installing your motorized LCD / plasma mount is made easier by intelligent design. Tape the included full-size template to the wall and center as needed. Locate the studs, drill one hole, and install the wall plate with one screw. Adjust as necessary to level the mount, then drill the remaining mounting holes & install the screws. Hang the mount on the wall plate, bolt the mounting brackets to the TV, hang it, then install the safety clips to finish the job. You'll need two people to lift the mount and the TV. Adapts to Larger or Smaller Displays Although the X-Arm will fit most displays out of the box, it is possible that your display might need an adapter. For more information about adapters, visit our support page.
